Maxey Brooke

Maxey Brooke (1913-1995) was a chemical engineer (OU grad 1936) at Phillips  and lived in Sweeny until the late eighties when he retired and moved to the  Dallas area. Maxey was a history buff, a prolific writer and was especially good  at gathering & recording stories from people around town that would have  been lost. As we started to do research on local history, his footprints were  found all over the place in handwritten and typewriter (Younger readers may have  to Google a definition)  typed form.
